171-172 patches exhibit DSC00652_retouch

aromatica poetica January 6, 2024 0 Comments

The patch exhibit includes a collection of decorative round and oval patch boxes. In the center, there's a framed black and white illustration of a woman's face with a vintage hairstyle. The color palette is mostly dark with metallic tones and hints of blue from what appear to be gemstones. The woman in the portrait appears to be wearing a patch on her right temple, a common practice among ladies of the 18th century to either cover blemishes or as a fashion statement.
